Court reforms

The latest talk is about raising the threshold for jury trials.

I would add to that and suggest that we go to professional jurors. There is much to the line that a jury consists of twelve people too stupid to find a good excuse not to be there- or are not worth enough to an employer for him to find one!

Also, we need to get rid of this legal aid/welfare for lawyers nonsense and move to a public defenders office with salaried lawyers.

Another restructuring I suggest is to build courts next to prisons. The time (T=$) taken to transport remand prisoners to and fro for their weekly hearings is phenominal.
