So- with the US economy on the brink of the abyss- When do we get the manufactured crisis to draw our attention away?

In truth, the political raruraru behind the "US Default Crisis" is of far greater import than the likelihood of the default in fact happening.
In order to govern you first must have a population in fear.
Now where did that idea come from?
